The rotary РЕД-Р and turbine РЕД-Т gas meters are designed to measure the volume of purified and drained single and multicomponent non-aggressive gases, such as natural gas according to GOST 5542-2014, propane, air, nitrogen, inert and other gases.
The scope of application of the meter is industry (including hazardous production facilities) and utilities, as well as other areas of activity requiring gas metering.
The rotary counter consists of a housing, rear and front covers, 2 rotors, a gearbox, a magnetic coupling, a counting mechanism and a low frequency pulse sensor.
The rotary counter operates on the principle of displacing a strictly defined volume of gas by rotating rotors. The volume of the displaced gas is determined by the volume of the measuring chamber of the meter, formed by the inner surface of the housing and the surfaces of two rotors synchronously rotating in opposite directions. The rotational motion of the rotors is transmitted through a gearbox and a magnetic coupling to an 8–digit counting mechanism, which registers the number of rotations of the rotors, and, consequently, the working volume of gas passed through the meter.
Using a low-frequency pulse sensor, the working volume can be transmitted to gas volume correctors or calculators.
